A seamless conduit pipe is made from a high strength steel containing (wt.%): 0.08-0.14 carbon; 0.2-0.4 silicon; 0.45-1.0 manganese; a maximum of 0.015 phosphorus; a maximum of 0.05 sulfur; 0.4-0.8 chromium; 0.15-0.3 molybdenum; a maximum of 0.20 nickel; 0.015-0.050 aluminum; a maximum of 0.20 copper; a maximum of 0.010 titanium; 0.04-0.08 vanadium; a maximum of 0.01 nitrogen, and optionally 0.015-0.040 niobium.
