The connecting rod (1) has a large eye (2), a small eye (3), and a shaft (4) connecting the eyes. The double-T-shaped shaft has a central web (5), which is bendable in longitudinal rod direction, in the area of the large rod eye. In this area, the central web has a thinner wall thickness than in the remaining areas. The bend has a bending axis approx. at right angles to the longitudinal rod axis, and within the movement plane of that axis.
