The vehicle seat frame (1) is connected to the vehicle by three parallel equal length guide rods (3) attached at one end to the seat frame and at the other end to the vehicle to swivel about an axis (4) which runs at an acute angle to the transverse direction of the vehicle so that by swivelling the guide rod about the axis the seat frame is moved both in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the vehicle. Swivelling the seat frame is preferably restricted so that there are two end positions for the seat frame and guide rod. A handle (7) fitted on the seat frame is used to move same.
