The procedure for creating an image theme/motive on a white background involves (1) creating a duplicate of the original image (2) placing a further duplicate-plane over locations where the chrominance of the underlying visible background is clearly continued in the foreground (4) both planes are subsequently corrected so that a negative false color image arises on a black background and (5) by reversing the chrominance to a positive false color image a white background plane is left behind.
