Hydrodynamic clutch (1) comprises a primary wheel (2) and a secondary wheel (3) which form a toroidal working chamber (4) filled with an operating medium. The ratio of the inner diameter dp of the working chamber on the primary wheel to the outer diameter Dp of the working chamber on the primary chamber is 0.6 at most dp/Dp at most 0.7.
