The slide for a clamping bracket (1) which is guided in a center section (2) of the clamping bracket. The slide (3a,3b) has a base component which has at least one side element (4a',4a,4b',4b), and at least one side element has a slide-in component and a stop component through which the slide is positioned in a center section of the clamping bracket. The slide has at least one entry guide bevel. The entry guide rises from a first end to a second end rectilinearly, in an arc or curved.
