Exhaust gas cleaning unit, for an Internal Combustion motor, has disks within a housing between the inflow and outflow, to act as a soot filter and a catalyst for nitrogen oxide products
Exhaust gas cleaning unit for internal combustion motor has housing fitted with inflow and outflow containing at least two exhaust gas treatment bodies. The bodies act as a deep filter and/or catalyst carrier, as perforated disks with two end surfaces in the axial direction and a radial peripheral surface. Metal wires are coated with catalyst material for NOx and mineral fibers are coated with catalyst material for soot. Exhaust gas cleaning unit (1) to clean the exhaust gas from an internal combustion motor, has a housing (2) fitted with an inflow (3) and an outflow (4) containing at least two exhaust gas treatment bodies (16). The bodies act as a deep filter and/or catalyst carrier, as perforated disks with two end surfaces (17,18) in the axial direction and a radial peripheral surface (19,20). Exhaust gas guides and carriers (11) hold the disk bodies apart and in a flow path from the inflow, with a tube (9) where one end is linked to the inflow and the other end (13) is closed.. The incoming exhaust gas is led wholly to the end sides of each disk body. The disks are composed of different alternating layers of mineral fibers/filaments, and metal filaments/wires. The metal wires are coated with a catalyst material for NOx and the mineral fibers are coated with a catalyst material for soot.
