Method for cyclic amplification of nucleic acid that uses helicase activity to unwind nucleic acid double strands, then hydridization of the individual strands to oligonucleotides (ON), extension of ON by using polymerase activity, to produce double strands, and repetition of the procedure. An independent claim is also included for a kit for the process that contains a peptide with helicase activity.
