The junction boxes (11,12) housed in instrument panel and trunk room, have photoelectric converters (51,52) that are connected through an optical transmission line (13). The photoelectric converters convert optical signal from optical transmission line into electric signals to be provided to various electronic appliances in the instrument panel and trunk room through electric transmission lines (15). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) signal relay apparatus; and (2) optical communication connector.
