The tappet (1) has a guide bore (3) that is intersected by two passages (12, 13), for routing hydraulic medium. A radius center point (M) of a transverse region (8), is situated with a lateral offset to a longitudinal axis of the tappet, so that one side (14) of a periphery of a housing (2) between extension (5) is longer than an opposite side (15). The passages are led to the housing on the longer side of the periphery.
