The foot end of the two-part fastening console (1) engages a wall fastening anchor or dowel (2) and there are welded-on lids with small central bores at each end. The bore at the head end has a screw thread (7) which can accommodate an object to be fastened to the wall. The console extends through a hole in a layer of heat insulating material (5), e.g. 120 mm thick, and a thin layer of plaster. The gap between the edge of the plaster and the console is sealed by an O-ring (3) and flexible sealing material (4).
