The window jalousie (10) has a jalousie strip (22) and a magazine (20) to house it when not in use, and two guides on both sides of the magazine for guiding of the side edges of the jalousie strip. The guides are constructed as pivotable guide arms (24,25) which are rotatably mounted on the longitudinal ends of the magazine and in the not-in-use position are pivotable onto the magazine. The guide arms have a blind section on the sides to cover an area not covered by the jalousie strip.
