The assembly (20) includes an orthodontic system (26) with a set of brackets (28) connected to a long archwire (30). An inter arch appliance (40) is coupled by an attachment device (56) to the orthodontic system, and has a coupler (54) with an arm. The attachment device includes a first section with a passage that fixes the archwire, and a second section with an opening that secures the arm. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an orthodontic attachment device;and (b) a connecting method for a dental arch repositioning appliance.
