The prefabricated component, and especially a light shaft, has a U-shaped concrete body (1), the side members (1a) of which in the region of their end faces on the building side have at least one transverse slot (2) open on the building side and which has a retaining screw thread and a metal fitting (4). The metal fitting reinforces the upper slot flank and its upper end section is constructed as a free standing retaining plate (11) which has an elongated slot (10).
