Stationary exercise device comprises a framework (10) with two handles (12) and a base (11), and a curved shaft (30) with a first curved end (31), a second curved end (32) and a straight part between the first and second curved ends. The first and the second curved ends are rotatably mounted on the framework in connection with oil pressure cylinder groups (40A, 40B) so that the first and the second curved ends are positioned at 180[deg] to each other when the curved shaft is radially rotated. The device also has two pedals (21, 22) mounted next to each other on the straight part of the curved shaft so that they are in a driving connection with the curved shaft producing its radial rotation when external force is applied to both pedals. Preferred Features: The base is provided with two support elements (50) supporting the two curved ends of the curved shaft. The two support elements are each provided with a bearing (52) for rotatably mounting the curved shaft.
