The invention relates to a tubular construction for transporting or storing cryogenic media, notably liquefied gases such as liquid hydrogen. The tubular construction comprises an inner tube (2), an outer tube (3) arranged concentrically in relation to the inner tube, as well as a vacuum insulation between the two tubes (2, 3). In addition to the vacuum insulation a multi-layer insulating element (5) is provided for in the intermediate space between the inner (2) and outer tube (3).
