The outer packaging is formed from a cross-shaped packaging blank including a central square or rectangular base portion on which the boxes can be placed. Two fixation bands on opposed sides of the base portion surround the boxes and are held in place by tabs and slots or an adhesive or hook-and-loop fastening band. Two transport bands on the other opposed sides of the base are folded upwardly to form a carrying handle. Semicircular cut-outs are provided in the ends of the handles through which the user's fingers pass.
