Analysis of a sample placed in a support which allows diffusion of the constituents by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Analysis of a sample placed in a support which allows diffusion of the constituents by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The support can be used as a stationary phase for chromatography. The NMR spectroscopy is a diffusion method (DOSY - diffusion ordered spectroscopy) and/or a method for analyzing samples which are part solid and part liquid using HRMAS (High resolution magic angle spinning). The support allowing diffusion is made of cellulose, alumina, talc, sodium carbonate or silica, preferably silica gel, modified or not by an amine, hydroxyl, cyano or C1-C18 alkyl function with or without ion producing reactants. Preferably, the support is a silica modified by an amine, hydroxyl, cyano or C1 to C18 alkyl function.
