The device has a connection unit coupled to a transition memory space storing a digital image. A storage memory obtains a comparison data indicating a physical content of the image. A comparison memory accesses a comparison data unit to have a digital image. The image is transferred to the storage memory, if none of the comparison data is contained in the comparison data unit. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a process of management of images (b) an information support, totally or partially removable, readable by a computer system, containing instruction from a computer program, permitting the implementation of a process of management of images (c) a computer program stored on an information support and having instructions intending to implement the process of management of images.
