The method involves determining a survival criterion of a management hypothesis. Information e.g. sales information on which the hypothesis works is supplied to determine a result of every hypothesis. The management hypothesis that does not respect the criterion is eliminated based on the result. The management hypothesis daughter is generated from a management hypothesis mother surviving the elimination. An independent claim is also included for a device for processing information.
