PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of feeding unpolished rice in a rice polishing plant which requires no installation of a number of unpolished rice storing tanks, which can easily control the amount of transportation of unpolished rice, and easily cope with various needs of users, and to provide an apparatus therefor.;SOLUTION: This apparatus is equipped with: an unpolished rice filling area 80 for filling unpolished rice into a movable unpolished rice container 30; a container storing rack 46 capable of temporarily storing a plurality of unpolished rice containers 30 storing unpolished rice; a stacker crane 44 carrying in and taking out the unpolished rice containers 30 to/from a given address in the storing rack 46; and a container mover 54 for receiving individual containers 30 transported by the stacker crane 44, delivering them to a rice polishing area 90, and returning the unpolished rice containers 30 to the stacker crane 44 after the unpolished rice is fed to the rice polishing area 90.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
