PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite fiber having a new light interference color-developing function, suppressing the apparent intensity reduction of the reflected interference light caused by white reflected light, having a color-developing function having both of the light interference-developed color and a chromatic color and capable of being developed into a commercial field requiring an excellent esthetic property.;SOLUTION: This composite fiber constituted by an alternately laminated material part obtained by alternately laminating polymer layers having different refraction indices each other horizontally in the long axis direction of its flat cross section and having 0.8≤SP1/SP2≤1.2 range ratio (SP ratio) of the solubility parameter value (SP1) of a higher refractive index side polymer to the solubility parameter value (SP2) of a lower refractive index side polymer, and a covering layer consisting of a fiber-forming polymer and covering the alternately laminated material part is provided by incorporating a chromatic color component to at least any of the polymer layers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
