PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of cleaning polluted air by using a photocatalyst, capable of truly cleaning air polluted with a volatile harmful organic substance.;SOLUTION: After performing a first process of taking in polluted air by opening an air-intake switching valve 12 and an air exhaust switching valve 13 and closing a circulation switching valve 14 and a second process of circulating polluted air by opening the circulation switching valve 14 and closing the air-intake switching valve 12 and the air exhaust switching valve 13, the quantity of air flowing through the air-intake switching valve 12, the air exhaust switching valve 13 and the circulation switching valve 14 is adjusted, so that the ratio of mixture of the quantity of circulating air to the quantity of taken air is controlled.
