PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-lens reflex camera with a focal-plane shutter having a bulb shooting function in which an adverse effect resulting from camera shake in shutter release is prevented.;SOLUTION: The single-lens reflex camera 1 with a focal-plane shutter having a bulb shooting function is controlled so that when a release button 8 is pushed (a step ST2) at the bulb shooting of the single-lens reflex camera 1, a diaphragm mechanism 15 is put in a full close state before the focal-plane shutter 7 becomes a full open state, such a state continues for specified time (steps ST3, 4, 5) and after that, the diaphragm mechanism 15 is set to show an initially set diaphragm value (a step ST6). If time Δt from the time of shutter full open to starting of exposure is appropriately set, exposure is started after the ceasing of residual vibration generated when the focal plane shutter 7 is driven in a camera main body 2 stops and the adverse effect that a blur occurs in a photographed image resulting from the camera shake is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
