ATTRIBUTE DATA IMPARTING DEVICE USING KNOWLEDGE DICTIONARY, AND ITS METHOD

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically give appropriate readings to KANJI (Chinese character) included in a text. PSOLUTION: A processing object means 4 of an attribute data imparting device 2 receives an input of text data and extracts KANJI data being an object to be given readings. An attribute data selecting means searches a data storage part 8 for the extracted KANJI data and selects corresponding knowledge data. In this case, if a plurality of knowledge data is registered for the same KANJI, the knowledge data is selected on the basis of a matching degree between input text data and related data relating to each knowledge data. An attribute data synthesis means 10 combined with the readings in KANA (Japanese syllabary) of KANJI recorded on the selected knowledge data with the KANJI data to output it.
