PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method by which reproduction candidate music which may be required by a user at that time can be presented without performing selection operation of music, genre or the like by a user.;SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a music reproduction history storage part 116 storing at least discrimination information of music reproduced in respective time zone corresponding to a plurality of time zones decided respectively as interval of specific points of time. A time at which music forming request is received is discriminated, it is discriminated which time zone the discriminated time is included in out of a plurality of time zones.
