PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for judging truth which can solve the problems that when a judging part is formed by an emboss hologram, it is difficult to shorten a manufacturing time, and as the number of processes during manufacturing an emboss mold are large, it is difficult to change a pattern of the judging part. PSOLUTION: An orientation pattern is formed on a base material 2 by using an orientation film 3 and a non-orientation pattern 4, and an optical selective reflective layer 5 being a cholesteric liquid crystal layer is laminated thereon, or an orientation film 3a is formed in a pattern-like shape on the base material 2 to form an orientation pattern, and the optical selective reflective layer 5 is laminated thereon, to generate selectively an orientation part 5a in the optical selective reflective layer 5, and it is possible thereby to judge the truth by using a left circularly polarized light and a right circularly polarized light.
