PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the absolute molecular weight and the molecular weight distribution analysis method of a low-substituted hydroxypropylcellulose, using light scattering method. PSOLUTION: A sample solution is prepared by dissolving one portion or entire portion of the hydroxyl group of low-substituted hydroxypropylcellulose into a solvent by carbanilation, and a solvent of the same type as the solvent is set to be the mobile phase and is set to a gel permeation chromatograph (GPC-MALLS) by light-scattering method for analysis.
