METHOD FOR JOINING STALK OF TOMATO SEEDLING

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining stalks of a tomato seedling comprising joining ears of a plurality of different kinds of tomato seedlings to the stalks (a base stalk) of the tomato seedlings applicable to cultivation also as decorative ones. PSOLUTION: The method for joining stalks of a tomato seedling comprises the following process: making a plurality of oblique cuts 2 at the outer peripheral part of the stalk of the tomato seedling to form a base stalk 1; tapering the tip part of each of stalks 8 of plural kinds of tomatoes different from the above tomato to form joint ears 3; putting respective joint ears 3 into the respective cuts 2 of the base stalk 1; winding a fixing material 4 such as a tape or a thread around each of the cuts; and taking off the fixing material 4 after a prescribed period of time passes. This method enables bearing a plurality of kinds of tomatoes different in colors and sizes respectively on a single stalk. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
