PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce sanitary litter for a pigpen emitting little malodor and having good sanitary state without using an adsorbing material such as sawdust and to keep a good rearing environment of pig by spreading the litter for pigpen on the floor of a pigpen to form a litter floor.;SOLUTION: The floor 2 of the pigpen 15 is composed of a concrete floor 3 and a litter floor 9 made of pigpen litter 8 produced by composting the excrement of pig. In the case of the delivery by a mother pig, small compartments 16 are formed by surrounding the concrete floor 3 of the pigpen 15 with partition members 11, and in the case of the rearing of the born pigs, the floor 2 of the pigpen 15 is surrounded with the partition members 11 to form large compartments 17. The pigpen is further provided with a stirring transfer machine 20 to stir the pigpen litter 8 of the litter floor 9 of the pigpen 15 to keep the litter floor 9 in a good state.
