PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable map data to be quickly and accurately corrected.;SOLUTION: A map correction system is provided, which refers to point information collected by a positioning terminal 2, retrieves position data of a point at which the positioning terminal 2 is installed, from map data stored in a map data memory section 11, and corrects the position data in accordance with a value of the positioning obtained by the positioning terminal 2. Furthermore, when the positioning terminal 2 positions a point at which electric waves are received, the positioning is carried out by using an area correction parameter method.
