CIGARETTE PAPER WITH LOW FIRE-SPREADING PROPERTY, CIGARETTE USING THE CIGARETTE PAPER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CIGARETTE PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cigarette paper with a low fire-spreading property, not only having characteristics of a cigarette paper with the low fire-spreading property but also having large air permeability of the cigarette paper, and enabling the air permeability of a filter to be reduced on the design of the cigarette; and to provide the cigarette using the cigarette paper and a method for producing the cigarette paper.;SOLUTION: The cigarette paper with the low fire-spreading property has alternately arranged electrically opened hole regions obtained by boring many fine holes by electric discharge over ≥4 mm width in the longitudinal direction of a belt-shaped body made of cellulosic fiber paper having self-extinguishing properties, and unbored base regions having 4-10 mm width in the longitudinal direction of the belt-shaped body. At least one or more of the base regions are arranged in the cigarette when the cigarette is formed by wrapping cut tobacco with the cigarette paper.
