POLYESTER COMBINED FALSE-TWISTED CRIMPED YARN, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND WOVEN OR KNITTED FABRIC CONTAINING THE FALSE-TWISTED CRIMPED YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyester combined false-twisted crimped yarn enabling a polyester fiber to furnish a woven or knitted fabric with a spun-like feeling together with a dry feel, a bulky feel, a soft feel, and a high-quality feel at the same time.;SOLUTION: This polyester combined false-twisted crimped yarn is composed of polyester highly-oriented undrawn yarn having a titanium dioxide content of 1.5-3.0 wt% and polyester drawn yarn, wherein the false-twisted crimped yarn has a hot-water shrinkage percentage of 5-15% and a number of entangled parts of less than 5 counts/m and does not substantially cause separation of false-twisted yarn threads. A method for producing the polyester combined false-twisted crimped yarn comprises paralleling two or more threads of the polyester highly-oriented undrawn yarn having a birefringence of not less than 0.03 and not more than 0.08 and the titanium dioxide content of 1.5-3.0 wt%, drawing the paralleled yarn threads at a draw ratio of not less than 1.1 and not more than 1.5 without heating the threads, then doubling the threads with the polyester drawn yarn having a hot-water shrinkage percentage of 10-30%, and further subjecting the doubled yarn threads to over-feed false-twisting processing at a temperature at which the yarn threads are not together fused.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
