PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire being a pneumatic tire for a passenger car which can be fitted on a wheel having a rim flange diameter being larger than a conventional one, and can properly suppress an eccentric wear of the shoulder section. PSOLUTION: This pneumatic tire for a passenger car is equipped with an annular swollen section 11 having an inner peripheral side surface which can suppress the deformation of a side wall section 2 by coming into contact with the outer peripheral side curved surface of the rim flange 21, on at least one side of the side wall sections 2. For the swollen section 11, the peak P1 is located at a height of 55 mm or more with a nominal diameter NR as a reference, and a height from the side wall extension line of the peak is 3 mm or higher. At the same time, when a void ratio in a region becoming outside when the tire is fitted with a tire equator line C as a boundary is taken as Vo, and a void ratio in the opposite region is taken as Vi, VoVi is satisfied.
