PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a small-sized electromagnetic-wave sensing system for highly accurately and reliably detecting an arriving electromagnetic wave from a deteriorated insulation part, etc. of an electric power apparatus.;SOLUTION: According to this electromagnetic-wave radiation source detecting method, the arrival angle of an electromagnetic wave is detected by a radio interferometer system to specify the position of an electromagnetic-wave radiation source. The values of received signals on an electromagnetic wave observed by a plurality of antennas are used as evidence variables to construct a model of a Bayesian network so as to assume the arrival angle of an electromagnetic wave as an object of inference. The values of received signals of the electromagnetic wave observed by the plurality of antennas are inputted into nodes of the Bayesian network and the probability distribution of the arrival angle is calculated while referring to a conditional probability table CPT according to a dependency relation between nodes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
