PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more properly evaluate an economical operation by correctly calculating an excess drive force even in cornering.;SOLUTION: In this economical operation evaluation device which is used for a vehicle having an engine 1 and a transmission 2, calculates an excess drive force by deducting a traveling resistance acting on the vehicle from the drive force of the vehicle, and uses the calculated excess drive force for the evaluation of the economical operation, an evaluation unit 12 detects the steering angle of the steering wheel 7 of the vehicle, calculates a cornering resistance acting on the vehicle based on the detected steering angle of the steering wheel 7, and calculates the traveling resistance as a value including the cornering resistance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
