PURPOSE: To obtain a liver-reproducing therapeutic agent containing a branched chain amino acid, valine, as an active ingredient, and having an action for reproducing hepatic cells after a liver is cut off due to hepatic diseases, hepatitis, cirrhosis, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: The liver-reproducing therapeutic agent contains a branched chain amino acid, valine (especially preferably L-valine), as an active ingredient. The therapeutic agent is preferably an infusion preparation. The concentration of the valine is 0.5-10.0%, especially 0.5-5.0%. The therapeutic agent is preferably intravenously administered.
