Packaging Methods of maitake culture medium

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate large-grained hens of the woods (Grifola frondosa (FR.) S.F. GRAY) by inserting a core from the aperture of a bag down to the front surface position of the culture medium introduced therein and treating this core under specific conditions, thereby packaging the hen-of-the woods culture medium and well maintaining the space part on the front surface of the culture medium. SOLUTION: The core 30, such as core having a sectional square shape on its outer periphery, is inserted into the bag 12 from its aperture down to the front surface position of the culture medium 11 introduced therein. While the bag 12 is superposed atop the culture medium 11 existing on the outer side of the core 30, the bag 12 is templated at the circumference of the core 30 and the bag 12 is so fixed as to maintain the templated shape. The core 30 is then removed from the bag 12 and the side of the bag 12 upper than the culture medium 11 is adhered, by which the packaging of the hen-of-the woods culture medium is executed. The culture medium 11 is preferably subjected to bacterium plantation via the inner side of the core 30.
