PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part recognizing device calibration jig and a part recognition calibrating method using the jig wherein the attaching precision of a part to a body which is to be attached is stabilized for improved attaching quality. ;SOLUTION: With an opening 156 provided on an surface 151a which is to be imaged of a calibration jig 150, and based on brightness/darkness of the surface to be imaged and the opening part, a specified position of the calibration jig is recognized. Thus, the position of the calibration jig is recognized at higher precision than the recognition based on the outline of the calibration jig, so that a value such as resolution of a part recognizing device is provided at high precision. Thus, the attaching precision of a part to the body which is to be attached is stable for improved attaching quality.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
