PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a posture-keeping mechanism for an embroidery frame- driving body in a sewing machine composed of a small number of parts and having an effective front hanging-preventing function. ;SOLUTION: This mechanism is provided with a holding arm 16 for holding an embroidery frame 15, and it is also provided with a frame-driving body 10 moving at least in a longitudinal direction in a horizontal plane, a guiding body 23 placed above the frame-driving body 10 in a horizontal, state and extending in a longitudinal direction and an engaging body 24 placed on the upper side of the frame-driving body 10 and engaged with the guiding body 23 in a freely movable manner.
