PURPOSE: To provide a novel block polymer which is useful for improving the interlaminar adhesion of a multi-layer coating or other purposes. CONSTITUTION: A block polymer comprises: at least one polyorganosiloxane unit; at least one polyalkylene oxide unit; a polar group selected from the group consisting of a prim. hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, a carboxylic acid base, a prim. amino group, a sec. amino group, an amide group, and a urethane bond, and alkoxysilyl groups; and a portion for linking both the units.
