PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition controller for acquiring data by effectively utilizing a line of low band width so that queuing time up to the supply of necessary information to a user is shortened. ;SOLUTION: In the information acquisition controller for acquiring an HTML document from a web server on the basis of a request from a user, a data acquisition part 11 acquires the HTML document from the web server, a data analysis part 13 analyses the HTML document, a data strategy determination part 14 predicts the data type of candidate data to be acquired next on the basis of the analyzed result, e.g. an HTML document to be linked and an in-line image or the like, and determines whether the whole candidate data to be acquired next are to be acquired, a part of the data such as a leading frame is to be acquired or not on the basis of the predicted result, and the data acquisition part 11 acquires the HTML document, the in-line image or the like in accordance with the determination.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
