Method for recording an image set for visualization of an internal body area, whereby the relative position of the image generating unit (1) and an external body area containing the internal body area is determined, an image set for the internal area is generated, the spatial position of the external body part is determined and, on the basis of the relative position data, the position of the internal body area relative to the external body part is recorded or assigned.
