SWITCHABLE POWER DIVIDER/COMBINER INCLUDING INPUT TRANSMISSION LINES, TRANSMISSION LINES, ISOLATION RESISTOR, SWITCHES AND CONTROLLER, AND FREQUENCY ALLOCATION SYSTEM ADOPTING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A switchable power divider/combiner and a frequency allocation system adopting the same are provided to reduce power losses and costs and space occupied by the divider/combiner by eliminating the need of using an SPDT switch and additional transmission line. CONSTITUTION: A switchable power divider/combiner comprises a first input transmission line(30) for receiving a first signal through a first input port(Pin1); a second input transmission line(35) for receiving a second signal through a second input port(Pin2); first and second transmission lines(31,33) branched off from the first input transmission line; third and fourth transmission lines(32,34) for connecting the first and second transmission lines to the first and second output ports, respectively; an isolation resistor(R1) connected between the first transmission line and the second transmission line; first and second switches(S1,S2) arranged at the branch point between the first input transmission line and the first and second transmission lines, wherein the first and second switches open or shut a path between the first input transmission line and the first or second transmission line; third and fourth switches(S3,S4) for switching on/off a connection from both ends of the isolation resistor to the first or second transmission line; a fifth switch(S5) for switching on/off a connection between the second input transmission line and the second transmission line; and a controller for controlling operation of the first to fifth switches.
