SELF PROGRESSIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL REALIZING PROGRESSIVE DISPLAY AT LOW COST

摘要

PURPOSE: A self progressive liquid crystal panel is provided to realize progressive display at low cost by manufacturing a cell gap different in thickness at a start point and an end point. CONSTITUTION: A cell gap between two substrates is formed in triangular shape in one liquid crystal panel regardless of the number of segments and proceeding direction. Liquid crystal(5) is injected into the cell gap and only square waves are applied to cell power terminals(3,3G). A progressive speed of the liquid crystal from a thin part to a thick part is delayed more than 0.2 seconds, wherein the liquid crystal has progressive delay speed of 10 mm or more.
