PURPOSE: An outer rotor type switched reluctance motor is provided to achieve improved efficiency of magnetic force, while increasing the turns of coil and allow for ease of coil winding operation. CONSTITUTION: An outer rotor type switched reluctance motor comprises a stator(120) fixed at the inner center of a rotor(140), wherein the stator has a coil portion(121) wounded with a coil; rotating plates(130) arranged to be rotatable centering from a fixing shaft(131); rotors opposed each other at the peripheral portion of the stator and coupled with a plurality of U-shaped ferromagnetic steel members; and a switching system having a reflector mirror fixed at the rotating plate, and a sensor mounted on a fixing plate so as to sense the position of the reflector mirror.
