PURPOSE: To provide an underwater type bubble removal apparatus of a wastewater disposal plant, which does not require an anti-foaming device installation area by installing a hopper in an aeration tank with circulating anti-foaming water to remove bubble flown in the hopper, and a method for removing bubble from wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus (100) comprises a hopper (130) that is installed in an aeration tank (A) with an upper end portion thereof being positioned higher than the surface of the water, an anti-foaming water circulation pump (140) that is installed on a bottom of the hopper, an anti-foaming water distribution pipe (142) that is connected to a circulation pipe (141) connected to an exit of the bubble water circulation pump and is formed at an upper part of the hopper, a plurality of spraying nozzles (150) that are spaced apart from a lower end portion of the anti-foaming water distribution pipe at regular intervals, a support stand (120) that supports and combines the hopper and the anti-foaming water distribution pipe, a fixing stand (110) that is to attach the support stand to a concrete structure of the aeration tank, and a control device that includes sensors for detecting water level and an amount of bubbles of the aeration tank and the hopper and controls an operation of the circulation pump by a signal of the sensor.
