PURPOSE: An external operation handle device is provided to achieve improved safety by preventing an operation handle from being turned to OFF position when the main contact of a circuit breaker is welded due to heat. CONSTITUTION: An external operation handle device comprises an assembly of a body, a rotary operation handle, and a drive mechanism(17). The body has a handle device coupled to the main body of a circuit breaker. The rotary operation handle is arranged at the front surface of the corresponding body. The drive mechanism includes a crank pin attached turn base(18) and a slide base(19) assembled with each other, and converts rotation of the operation handle into linear motion. The drive mechanism has a lock unit for preventing the operation handle from being turned to OFF position when the main contact of the circuit breaker is welded. The lock unit includes a lock lever(20) and a return spring(21) arranged on the slide base.
