PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a portable water pump is provided to automatically control the operation number and speed of portable water pumps by controlling the fluid coupling of the corresponding potable water pump. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a portable water pump includes a fluid measurement unit(15), a pressure measurement unit(16) and a pump controller(20). The fluid measurement unit is installed on the discharge pipe of the plurality of portable water pumps for supplying the water generated by the desalination plant to measure the amount of discharge flow. The pressure measurement unit is installed on the discharge pipe of the portable water pump to measure the discharge pressure. And, the pump controller controls the operation number and speed of the portable water pump in response to the pump discharge flow amount and the pressure measured by the flow measurement unit and the pressure measurement unit.
