PURPOSE: A light guide plate, a method for manufacturing the same, and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to improve brightness of an image while reducing power consumption by changing polarizing axes of lights into the same polarizing axis at the light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(100) includes sides(110,120,130,140) including a first side(110) for entering first light including second light having a first polarizing axis, and third light having a second polarizing axis, and a second side(120) opposite to the first side. A light exit surface(150) is connected with the sides. A light reflecting-transmitting unit is formed between the first side and the second side for reflecting the second light to the light exit surface while transmitting the third light. A polarizing axis converting part(170) changes the third light into fourth light having the same polarizing axis as the second light to reflect the fourth light to the light reflecting-transmitting unit. A light reflecting surface(180) reflects the fourth light to the light exit surface.
